Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)

Description

The purpose of this course is to deliver a seminar on ‘Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education. The seminar shall provide a forum for discussing the appropriate implementation of RSE and deliver advice about inspection expectations. It provides an introduction to the new requirements for September 2020, unpacking the government’s new guidance and supporting schools to prepare. It will provide an overview of key duties for independent schools and how these will be inspected.

Suitable for: school staff responsible for delivering sex and relationships education, senior leaders and governors. This seminar relates to the ISSRs, in particular Part one, paragraph 2A.

By the end of this seminar delegates will: 
Understand ISSR 2A and the importance of ensuring  that every registered pupil who is provided with primary education at the school is provided with relationships education and that every registered pupil who is provided with secondary education at the school is provided with relationships and sex education, except in so far as the pupil is excused.

- Seminars will take place via Zoom video conferencing.
- The session will open 15 minutes before the seminar starts.
- You will receive joining instructions two days before the seminar with a link to enter the session and any materials required.

- Doors will open 15 minutes before the seminar starts.

- Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
