How does Boarding Contribute to an Educational Quality Inspection (EQI)

Description

ISI educational quality inspections (EQI's) were introduced in January 2017 following a pilot stage during the Autumn 2016.  In the new framework for educational quality inspection, boarding is recognised in its contribution to the achievement and personal development of pupils. This seminar explores how to evaluate that contribution, including:

  • Monitoring differences between day and boarding pupils;
  • Evaluating the measurable and unmeasurable experiences of boarding;
  • Confronting the potential myths. Does boarding really promote independence?
  • Supporting academic achievement in the boarding house.

This seminar will be of interest to senior house staff and leaders.

Location: ISIC Training Centre, 1st Floor, CAP House, 9-12 Long Lane, London EC1A 9HA
